This is a bit late because I’ve been dealing with some pretty bad neck pain and haven’t been drawing a lot the last two weeks. I’m working on building up a buffer on my newsletter so I don’t miss a newsletter but I haven’t had the time.
I’m excited to share this comic- it’s been sitting as a draft on my ipad for more than a year! I’ve also been wanting to share actual comics on this newsletter like this once in a while to spice up my newsletter. I hope you enjoyed it!
I also wanted to end my newsletters (when there’s room) with sharing about the comics I’ve been reading. I recently read My Aunt is a Monster by Reimena Yee- a quirky and whimsical middle grade graphic novel. What I really love about this comic is the art and the cartooning. One thing I often struggle to do in my comics is take advantage of the fact that it’s a comic- you don’t have to be restricted to panels if you don’t want to.
I didn’t take a picture of it but it also had these great chapter headings that were sort of journal like including excerpts of an article from a magical publication. It’s great to read a comic and be reminded of all the different ways there are to do something!
I hope you’re staying cool this coming week, it’s going to be a scorcher!
Nice story and drawings. I will have to check my Star Wars figurines they might be missing!
Lo chiquito siempre daba ese mismo sentimiento! Linda historia 💕
